Caleb Easterling Car Accident – Jenny’s formative years were spent in Hamlin, where she was employed as a candy salesperson at a variety store. She spent the majority of her adult life working for Southwestern Bell and the City of Hamlin, the latter of which being the employer from which she eventually retired. She was driven by a desire to be of service to others and donated her time in a variety of capacities around the city of Hamlin, including with the Women’s Auxiliary at the local hospital and the Meals on Wheels program.

Virginia (Jenny) White passed away on May 24, 2022, and she went to the lovely home that she had always dreamed of going to after she passed away. She was born in Avoca, Texas, on November 23, 1931, and her parents were James Hillard Easterling and Johnnie Lucille (Driskill) Easterling. She was the only child of her parents. After graduating from Avoca High School, she wed C.L. White on December 11th, 1953. She went on to earn a diploma from Avoca High School.

She possessed the heart of a servant. She volunteered her time in the kitchen of FBC Hamlin, where she was in charge of preparing meals for all of the events that were put on by the church. Jenny was also a devoted Sunday school teacher at FBC Hamlin, where she served in that position for more than 60 years and taught the children’s class. During that time, she was responsible for teaching the youth group.

Her grandparents, parents, two brothers, Bob Easterling and Bill Easterling, and four sisters, Wanda Bounds, Dottie Massey, Mary Joyce Easterling, and Glenna Vivian, all passed away before she did. Her parents were Bob and Bill Easterling, and her grandparents were Bob and Dorothy Easterling. Both of her parents had already passed away before to her passing.
