Who Is Nuri Muhammad From Next Level Chef Season 2?
Next Level Chef will return with a new season on Sunday. In the forthcoming season, 18 cooks will battle in teams under the supervision of three famous chefs to win the title and a one-year mentoring under Gordon Ramsay. Nuri Muhammad, a 22-year-old Maryland-based professional chef who began cooking at the age of five, is one of the candidates slated to feature on the Fox program. Next Level Chef season 2 will debut on Sunday, February 12, at 10:30 p.m. ET, and will then return to its usual Fox time slot of Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
Meet Nuri Muhammad, who will be on Next Level Chef season 2!
Nuri Muhammad, also known as “Chef Stretch” in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is one of the 18 contenders that will compete in the forthcoming season of Next Level Chef. According to an interview with Vogaye Baltimore in 2022, the chef began experimenting in the kitchen at a very early age. He said that he was too anxious to wait in the kitchen while his mother cared for his younger sister and would often obtain his own food.
During the interview, he stated:
“I would prepare a juice box, cheese strings, crackers, and grapes for my family’s errands. They’d look at me in the vehicle and wonder why we hadn’t thought of it. I watched Gordon Ramsey, Chopped, Iron Chef, and Cutthroat Kitchen after school. My after-school amusement consisted of cooking programs.”
The Next Level Chef season 2 participant said that he often assisted his mother in the kitchen as his contribution to their home. His younger sister was in elementary school when he started high school, and he would cook her snacks after school and elevate them for her, adding his own flair. Nuri talked with WTOP about his experience on the forthcoming episode, saying that it exceeded his expectations. He said that spending time on set, shooting, and doing all that goes into making a show an experience made him feel like a genuine celebrity.
The lowest level, the basement, according to the Next Level Chef season 2 cast member, was “totally screwed up.” He went on to say that the basement housed the poorest cookware and supplies, which the other chefs refused to use. The chef went on to praise Gordon Ramsay, calling him “the most brilliant guy.” He mentioned the chef’s approach throughout the program and mentioned a mentoring component. Chef Ramsay, who is normally seen delivering the heat on previous series, took on the role of mentor on Next Level Chef.
Nuri stated:
“It’s a bit odd pretending and then having these actual cameras and real people and chefs coming to you in your face, and you’ve got to cook and chat without seeming like an idiot.”
Next Level Chef season 2 premieres on Sunday, February 12, at 10:30 p.m. ET, immediately after the Super Bowl, before returning to its regular airdate on Thursday, February 8, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
